It’s a Blue Spectral Storm year!

Hello everyone!

This is my very first post on my new website 🙂 With the Mayan New Year approaching fast on July 26, 2016 I thought I’d better get crackin’ on my research into the coming year.

We are just finishing up a White Planetary Wizard year. This was the 10th year in the 13 year cycle. This last year was about ‘manifesting your hearts desire’ but not with your own willpower 🙂 , nooooo. White Wizard encouraged us to let go of being in control, supported us to align our own will with Divine will and to just allow the Magic to happen! How many of you felt supported in this way and did actually manifest your hearts desire? I know I sure did! I wasn’t even aware, consciously, that last year was a White Planetary Wizard year until right now when I checked! Crazy. But, yeah, in December 2015 I was actually able to buy a teeny tiny lot here in Sayulita and I’ve been spending loads of time designing two casitas for it – which really IS my hearts desire. To design and build is a dream come true for me! And, it did happen in a completely magical way. Totally unpremeditated – the land appeared and within a week the deal was signed! It felt like a total surprise. Do you have a story like this??

OK, so, if the last year (from July 26, 2015 to July 25, 2016) was about climbing that ‘mountain of attainment’ to manifest a hearts desire or express your Life’s Calling or Objective (it relates to the 10th house in western astrology) – but without the ‘strivingness’ that a Planetary year can bring because of the fact that White Wizard was involved and White Wizard prefers Magic to Control and Willpower 🙂 – then this coming year, year 11 – Spectral, is about letting go, releasing and stripping away all that encumbers you, in order to LIBERATE yourself. Unfetter yourself this year!

I relate the 11th tone, Spectral, to the stripping away of all that is superfluous in order to reveal your True Essence. It’s a very Uranian energy (I equate Uranus with the high vibration number, 11, and Uranus rules the 11th house in western astrology, too) and it just so happens that Uranus is playing a big part in the energy of the Mayan Year. Check out the astrological chart for sunrise on July 26th, 2016. You’ll notice that the Moon and Uranus are conjunct at the very top of the chart. One could say that the Calling or the main Objective of the energy of this Mayan New Year is Uranian in nature because it’s up at the highest part of the chart, the MC, whose symbolism is ‘life objective’ and ‘calling’ and that would certainly dovetail nicely with Spectral energy! So we have the thread, now! 🙂 I love how these two systems really do work well together!

Blue Storm encourages us to to heal, transform, cleanse and purify. A good metaphor for Blue Storm energy is the image of being faced with a WALL. You can’t go under it or over it or around it, because it’s so huge. The Wall represents one area in your life that you feel stuck. It’s an obstacle to your happiness and you’re paralyzed because it looks like there is nothing that you can do. Well, with Blue Storm energy (and with the help of Spectral energy) you simply need to break-on-through that wall! (easier said than done, I know, but you’ll find a way, Blue Spectral Storm demands it!) Blast that wall open and just step through the opening to the other side….and on this other side lies your FREEDOM! Yay! Breakthrough!

I always relate Blue Storm energy to Pluto, Uranus and Saturn (it’s usually Saturn’s structures that needs to do some crumbling – the structures that have outlived their purposes and are actually impeding you from expressing your true, Fundamental Nature!)….so it is interesting, indeed, that, if you look at the chart above you’ll see that the planets connected to the rising Sun in Leo (life-force, who we are and who we’re becoming and how we find our deepest joy, this year) are….Uranus (and Pluto is connected to Uranus through a square) and Saturn in Sagittarius. Hmm! Pretty apt, if you ask me! All the players are present!

SO, we may be in for some (emotionally exciting: Moon conjunct Uranus) surprises this year that shake us up a bit, but this shake-up is going to be just the thing to break through that wall, ya know? So…let it happen! Expect the unexpected to help you to let go, forgive, release, heal, strip away….and what is left is a more perfect you. Freer. Truer to your unique self.

I also love that Saturn in Sagittarius is anchoring the wisdom inside each of us…(it’s trining the Sun, you see, with that blue line 🙂 ) and instead of being a drag (Saturn can be that way – chuckle) he’s actually helping us to stabilize and build a new foundation within ourselves of integrity, idealism and independence.

One of my favourite lines from the fantastic book, Mayan Oracle – Return Path to the Stars, on Blue Storm’s qualities is this:

You give up what you seem to be in order to become fully what you are. You step into the fires of the unknown, and you are changed forever.

And this one, too 🙂

The harmonic wisdom embodied in Blue Storm is freedom, which can be defined as the state of being unconstrained by fate, karma, necessity, or circumstances in one’s choices or actions. Freedom is an open reality wherein you know that you are at choice every moment. This state of being originates from an innate perception of reality. It is the understanding that you are an ‘actor’, free to play any part at any moment without being attached to it. You work with your life’s ‘scripts’, your attachments and perceptions, in order to free them. From this perspective comes the fullest freedom: learning to live in natural harmony and union with divine will.

Going through your resistances and boundaries prepares a space for greater wisdom. You are becoming an open system. Anything that defines you is being stripped away. Expect clearing and change. As your facade crumbles and your walls come tumbling down, the true illumination of self bursts through!

Every four years we, through this Mayan New Year, go through a transformative Blue Storm year. The last Blue Storm years were 2012, 2008, 2004, 2000, 1996, 1992, 1988, 1984, 1980, 1976, 1972, 1968, 1964, 1960, 1956, 1952, 1948, 1944, 1940. (remember the Mayan New Year starts on July 26th and ends on July 25th each year 🙂 )

Every thirteen years we go through a letting go, stripping away, releasing Spectral year. The last ones were: 2003, 1990, 1977, 1964, 1951, 1938, 1925

As you can see the last time it was an actual Blue Spectral Storm was in 1964 🙂

Perhaps you can see some Blue Storm and Spectral qualities in the years above, as you lived them?

Just looking at the dates the one that pops out for me as the most significant transformation was the Blue Storm year in 2004/2005 – that’s when I really felt I needed to make a change in my life or I would die. In the fall of 2004 the idea took hold and then in January 2005 I moved to Mexico! If you don’t know that wild and cosmic story you can read about it here 🙂
